Merry-Go-Rounds is a retail store “Providing a charming experience for people who are outfitting children by offering hand-selected, pre-loved goods.”
The impression we wanted to achieve when setting out to create the brand identity for Merry-Go-Rounds was joyful, warm, and quirky. Merry-Go-Rounds aims to appeal to adults, children, and those of every income level.
After creating a mood board full of bright colors and plenty of fun, we found our color palette and were ready to dive in. We knew right away a whimsical script was the way to go. After a few rounds of sketches, the hand-lettered wordmark made it into Illustrator for refinement. Confetti became a constant within the mood board, so we included some spheres to round out the final logomark as well as incorporating confetti dots throughout brand materials.
The Loyalty cards share a layout with the previous owner’s to lessen confusion for customers during the transition to Merry-Go-Rounds. The cards were printed on 16pt paper with a matte finish.
Social graphics were created for Facebook and Instagram to announce events that take place monthly.
